Friend, the bipartisan investigation into the Jan. 6 riot is uncovering new evidence against Donald Trump every day, and I need you to hear the most important details as this case rapidly evolves:

A year ago today, in his final days in power, Donald Trump repeatedly tried to pressure the Department of Justice into overturning the Georgia election results, and he even asked his advisors about sending the military to the states he lost in an attempt to stay in power.
These plans didn't come to fruition. Instead, his son's girlfriend raised $3 MILLION for the Jan. 6 rally, where Trump told a group of agitated protesters that, "If you don't fight like hell, you're not going to have a country anymore."

We all know what happened next, friend. I'll never forget the moment that Trump supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol and fought their way through Capitol Police officers. I was in the House gallery, ducking for cover and fearing for my life.

This is America, friend, and in this country, we abide by peaceful transitions of power – no matter who wins. No one is above the law, which is exactly what I said when I managed Trump's first impeachment trial. But some far-right Republicans, including Marco Rubio, are trying to let Trump off the hook.

Trump loyalists like Rubio want you to forget that Trump nearly destroyed our democracy. They want you to forget that Trump bribed a foreign official, pressuring him to interfere in the 2020 election. And, they want you to let Trump run for president all over again. I won't let that happen, friend, but I can't overcome Trumpism alone, so I have to ask you:

Do you believe that Donald Trump and his associates should be held accountable for their misdeeds?
