It’s the one-year anniversary of one of the darkest days in our democracy’s history.

In a seditious act of terrorism, Donald Trump and his Republicans incited a white supremacist mob to storm our Capitol.

It was despicable to watch.

But our House Democrats knew Trump must be held accountable for his actions -- so they made sure he’d go down in history as the only president to be impeached TWICE.

That moment, and everything that’s happened since, have shown just how critical our Majority is – and how important it is that we defend it with everything we have.

But our fight is far from over.

GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy – the man fighting to replace Nancy Pelosi as Speaker – and his House Republicans have made it clear their true loyalty lies with Donald Trump, not with our democracy.

So if we want to safeguard our democratic institutions and hold insurrectionist Republicans accountable, we MUST protect our Democratic House Majority.
