Where is Syria's UN political process heading?

You are cordially invited to join us this evening for a call with two members of the civil society block of the Constitutional Committee to debrief last week's meetings at UN Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland.

The call will detail who is at the table, which issues are being negotiated, and what are the biggest obstacles to progress.

The Constitutional Committee, mandated by UN Security Council Resolution 2254 (2015), met in Geneva last week after finalizing its membership in September of this year. The group, comprised of 150 total members split into into three blocks (opposition, regime, and civil society), is tasked with developing a new constitution that will lay the groundwork for Syria's political future. The committee's group of 45 chosen to draft the constitution document remains in Geneva this week to continue its work.
