Join us for our Annual MLK Serve-A-Thon honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and his legacy of fighting to end poverty and promote social justice. The 2022 Serve-A-Thon will feature both in person and remote service activities, as well as learning workshops, with a focus on raising awareness of the similar hunger struggles people face throughout every part of the country.

Hunger Free America in the News Around the Country

In November we released our annual hunger survey, laying bare the the crisis of hunger and food insecurity in America. Since then, our CEO Joel Berg has been interviewed by reporters throughout the country, from Louisiana to Hawaii, about how vitally important government programs have been to preventing mass starvation. As we begin a new year, we are more committed than ever to fighting hunger. To that end, we strongly support President Biden's Build Back Better Agenda, particularly the Pandemic-EBT program and an extension of the Child Tax Credit, which has already lifted over 3 million children out of poverty.
