John,
One year ago today, we witnessed a violent mob storm the U.S. Capitol for the first time since the War of 1812. Members of the crowd built a fake guillotine and spoke of hanging the Vice President and finding sitting members of Congress, many of whom were hiding or running for their lives, all because they believed the 2020 election was stolen from Donald Trump.
It was a deadly, disturbing day in American history, and it was incited by the former President and his enablers in Congress and right-wing media.
What did PA-01’s Representative Brian Fitzpatrick do in the days after these insurrectionists wreaked havoc on the Capitol? He sat idly by and refused to vote to impeach Trump for inciting them.
As a combat veteran, I was heartbroken and angry watching this play out on the news. It was the final straw that led me to decide to run for office, because if Fitzpatrick isn’t going to do anything about it, I sure as hell will.
Make no mistake: our democracy is still at risk today. Extreme members of the GOP like Madison Cawthorn and Marjorie Taylor Greene talk about taking up arms and going to civil war, while other Republicans try to downplay the seriousness of what happened on this day last year and continue to roll back Americans’ voting rights.
I’ve fought for our country before overseas. I’m ready to fight for it again in Congress on behalf of the people here in Pennsylvania’s 1st district.
But I need your help to get there. On this first anniversary of Jan. 6, will you chip in $10 or more to help me replace Fitzpatrick and flip this crucial House seat from red to blue so we can stop right wing authoritarianism from destroying our democracy as we know it?

My heart goes out to the brave Capitol and D.C. police who were injured in the line of duty protecting our elected officials on this day one year ago. Let’s do everything in our power to make sure a violent insurrection like this never happens on American soil again.
