Dear John,

Today is Jan. 6. One year ago today, violent extremists swarmed into the Capitol building, attacking police and attempting to disrupt the certification of the presidential election. Now, they continue to pose a serious and imminent threat to our democracy. We are proud of the progress ADL and our community have made in the aftermath of the attack — tracking and identifying extremist connections, testifying on Capitol Hill, serving as co-counsel in a civil lawsuit against Proud Boys and Oath Keepers, and advocating for critical legislation — but the fight is far from over.
