Team,

One year ago, we all watched in disbelief as an armed mob vandalized our Capitol, attacked police officers, and tried to overturn the results of a free and fair election.

In the weeks leading up to that day, Donald Trump continuously spread lies about voter fraud and election security to undermine and sow doubt in our institutions. And on January 6, he incited the insurrection by telling his supporters to stop the 2020 election results from being certified.

At every level, we must hold those who attacked our democracy, perpetuated the "Big Lie", and sought to delegitimize our election process accountable. That's why last year I called on Rhode Island Representative Justin Price to resign after he participated in Trump’s Jan 6 rally and then continued to spread baseless conspiracy theories about the attack on the U.S. Capitol.

As elected officials, we are duty-bound to defend our democratic system of government, and far too many of our elected officials have fanned the flames of Trump's "Big Lie." Add your name if you agree that elected officials who threaten our democratic institutions should be held accountable
