Dear Friends,

One year ago today, we witnessed an event that shook our democracy to its core. What transpired on January 6, 2021 proved that there are millions of Americans who will do anything to destroy the heart of our nation, but it also proved that there are millions more who will protect it at all costs. 

As we reflect on these events, we must consider what our responsibility is to protect democracy, and one of the best ways we can do this is to run for office. Every single political office in America, from the most local position to the national stage, impacts the lives of the people in our communities and plays a part in keeping our democracy strong.
