One year ago today, five people died and many hundreds were injured as our Capitol was attacked by a violent mob trying to overthrow the results of a free and fair election.

Hundreds of people who caused the violence, destruction, and terror are going to prison.  But the extremist Republican politicians who encouraged them are trying to rewrite history and pretend it didn't happen.

We cannot give them a pass.  Those who had ANY part in this must be held accountable. We must prosocute the violent insurrectionists, and we must vote out the politicians who stoked them to violence.

But make no mistake, they are not done yet. Now, as they try to rewrite history, our own state has threatened to change election rules so they can legally overthrow a, democratically elected, candidate they don't like.

This is dangerous stuff, but we can still fight back. They haven't changed the rules...yet.

We must stay vigilant, we must stand together against those that would destroy our democracy, we must stand up for America and our democracy.
