What: Rally for Strong Gun Laws
When: TODAY (Thursday, November 7) at 1:00 pm
Where: Wisconsin State Capitol - State Street Steps
Why: Over 80% of Wisconsinites support background checks on all gun sales and the ability to petition a judge for extreme risk protection orders -- the two bills being addressed during the special session today, and leadership in the Wisconsin legislature is refusing to allow a vote. We need to insist that they hear us and help keep our communities safe by passing these lifesaving laws. 

There will be energizing speakers at the rally, including Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul; chapter lead of March for Our Lives Milwaukee and former WAVE intern, Tyler Kelly; and WAVE's own executive director, Jeri Bonavia, among others. After the rally, we will fill the Capitol Rotunda, so our legislators will need to face us as they enter and exit their chambers!

Transportation Reminder: We have two options available for help with transportation -- carpooling and a FREE coach bus. You can sign up to carpool from anywhere in the state or take the bus from the Milwaukee area.
