This year, Doris will continue to fight to ensure all Americans have access to quality, affordable health coverage. Since helping to pass the Affordable Care Act in 2010, Doris has been committed to fully closing the coverage gap by reducing health care premiums, deductibles and cost-sharing for millions of Americans and their families. Doris is also a long-time champion of expanding access to mental health care. This year, she will fight to preserve critical access to the teletherapy services that have helped so many patients during the pandemic.

With the rise of Omicron, it has become increasingly clear that Covid-19 isn’t going away any time soon. Doris will continue to encourage her constituents to listen to the science by getting vaccinated and boosted, masking up in public, and isolating when infected. She will continue to fight for public health resources that will protect her constituents and keep the economy and schools open in Sacramento.

Each day that Doris serves as Sacramento’s Representative, she works to push the economy forward for American families. She has already championed making targeted investments in areas that will grow the economy and create high-paying jobs: clean energy, education, health care, and infrastructure, and she will continue to do so in 2022.
