John,
At COP26, Biden promised that the United States would become a leader on climate change again. And then he immediately turned around and betrayed that promise by auctioning off 1.7 million acres of land in the Gulf of Mexico to oil and gas companies.1
That's not all: Pending legal processes, 80 million hectares could be up for grabs for drilling in the Gulf of Mexico.2 That would make it the largest federal offshore drilling auction in U.S. history — bigger than any sale Trump and his administration ever did.3
This is NOT what a climate president does, John. Can you join us and sign the petition to demand Biden stop all future land sales to oil and gas companies? Help us do everything we can to keep fossil fuels in the ground.

At COP26 in Glasgow, Biden promised a return of American leadership on climate action. But as long as the U.S. continues selling land to oil and gas companies, his words mean nothing.
It’s not too late for President Biden to keep his promise and use his executive power to protect our public lands and waters from further drilling — but we need to act fast.
We must continue the fight for a fossil free world by demanding that President Biden stop all future auctions for drilling permits.
Will you join us? Add your name to our petition calling on President Biden to stop all federal offshore drilling auctions.

Now is not the time to be discouraged, John. Across the country and the globe, we will step up and be heard.
The world isn’t ending, the era of fossil fuels is.
Thanks for joining us in this fight,
Team 350
