Last week the Ohio Supreme Court heard legal challenges to the new Congressional map approved by GOP Governor Mike DeWine.

New court documents confirm what we’ve known all along: this has always been a partisan scheme to take power away from the people. The Ohio GOP sketched a map that hands 13 seats to Republicans. But get this: the redistricting committee used one data set to make an argument to Ohio’s people and another set for GOP stakeholders.

Governor DeWine promised Ohioans a fair map. Not only did he fail to deliver, but he approved a plan that:

He knew would result in a lawsuit
Blatantly violated our state constitution

Now that lawsuit is being heard by none other than his son, Ohio Supreme Court Justice Patrick DeWine.
