One year ago today, grassroots folks like you powered our historic victories in Georgia to take back the Senate for Democrats. Since then, my friend Sen. Tina Smith and I and our colleagues in the Senate have taken huge strides to advance President Biden’s agenda, provide pandemic relief, kickstart our economy, and more.

But our work is far from over. To make lasting change in our country, we need to pass our entire Democratic agenda – from voting rights to climate justice – and that means defending and expanding our 50-50 Senate majority.

As a kid who grew up in public housing, I know what it's like to be counted out before you even get started. But through hard work and the support of my family and community, I was able to graduate from college and went on to become the senior pastor at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s church.
