SPECIAL ALERT: Texas Values & 30 State Groups File Supreme Court Brief Opposing Biden Vaccine Mandate, Court to Hear Case Friday! This week, Texas Values, along with leaders and representatives from 29 other state family policy council organizations, opposed the illegal Biden employee vaccine mandate by filing a legal amicus brief with the U.S. Supreme Court. Click here to see our full press release. The U.S. Supreme Court has scheduled one-hour oral arguments on Friday, January 7 at 10:00 AM ET to address the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's (OSHA) unconstitutional rule mandating large employers force their employees to get vaccinated. The brief explains that “unelected and unaccountable administrative agencies” tend to be hostile to religious freedom by treating it as “an afterthought, an inconvenience that stands in the way of their desired policy.” Religious liberty is “a vital and enduring thread in the nation’s fabric.” For religious employers in particular, the brief states, OSHA’s rule amounts to “indirect coercion [that] contradicts fundamental religious autonomy principles.” A live audio stream of the oral arguments will be available on January 7 on the Supreme Court's official website here. The Texas Values policy team will be closely monitoring oral arguments to keep our supporters updated as well. |
