Friend --
We wanted to make sure you saw Chuck's email from yesterday. Tomorrow is the first anniversary of the January 6 insurrection. And since then, the GOP attacks on voting rights and democracy have gotten worse and worse.
We must protect our democracy. Failure is not an option. So please, add your name next to Chuck's to demand the Senate protect voting rights and secure our democracy.
Thank you,
Team Schumer

Subject: If Republicans filibuster voting rights, this is what we'll do:
Friend --
This week marks one year since the January 6 insurrection -- one of the darkest days in our history and a despicable attack on our democracy. So I just announced that the Senate will keep fighting in the days ahead to advance critical legislation to stop the GOP attacks on our democracy, or we'll consider changing the rules of the Senate.
Now I need your help. We need to put immense pressure on the entire Senate to protect voting rights and secure our elections once and for all. Will you sign your name to join our call?
Our democracy withstood the attack on January 6th, 2021. But the assault on our democracy has not stopped.
In the year since President Trump's supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol, Republican-led legislatures, fueled by Trump's Big Lie, have passed law after law making it harder to vote. They've tried to undermine the integrity of our elections and seize control of typically non-partisan election administration roles.
I refuse to let these attacks on our democracy go unanswered. So here's what's going to happen.
Senate Democrats will continue fighting to advance critical legislation to protect voting rights. Nothing is more important than saving the foundation of our democracy. But if Senate Republicans refuse to join us and filibuster our voting rights legislation again, Democrats will debate changing the Senate rules.
We are going to act swiftly, because our entire democracy is at stake. If Republicans block our efforts to save the right to vote, we will debate changing the rules of the Senate before Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on January 17th.
But today friend, I need you to make your voice heard loud and clear. As we approach the anniversary of one of the worst days in our country's history, add your name and demand the Senate save our democracy.
Thank you for raising your voice,
Chuck Schumer
