Hi John,
Have you thought about your 2022 resolutions yet?
Maybe you've already got some ideas like:
- Journaling every day as a practice in mindfulness.
- Starting that composting bin to reduce food waste.
- Painting your apartment so it feels more like home.
I've got one to add to your list that is simple and builds a better future for all:
Volunteer with Run for Something and help elect diverse young progressives! We've got lots of ways you can help -- speaking to potential candidates, talking to voters for endorsed candidates, and more.
Got a resolution to build more connections with other caring, engaged people? You'll want to volunteer to speak with our thousands of potential candidates. We train you up, and then you set your own schedule. We've consistently heard it's one of the most positive volunteer opportunities in the political space – you can do it from home, on your own time, as much or as little as you have the availability.
Got a simple resolution to track more steps every day? Then sign up to volunteer with a Run for Something-endorsed candidate and go door-knocking for their campaign. I love doing this when I need to remind myself that politics is so much more than what happens on Twitter.
Last year, more than 160 of our candidates won because of supporters like you volunteering, contributing, and building support for diverse young progressives running for the first time. They won elections throughout the country, from school boards and city councils to county clerk offices and state legislative seats.
With 2022 shaping up to be our biggest year ever, we'll need the biggest group of volunteers ever. Sign up today so we can lay the groundwork for big wins this year.
Let's go,
Amanda Litman
