NBC News: Three Trump Allies Plead the Fifth After Receiving Subpoenas From the House’s Jan. 6 Investigation

John,

Tomorrow marks one year since an angry mob stormed the U.S. Capitol in a domestic terrorist attack against Congress and our democracy — resulting in the deaths of five people.

There must be accountability — for every rioter who desecrated the Capitol and for Donald Trump and his cronies, who incited them.

Unsurprisingly, Trump’s closest allies are refusing to cooperate with the House’s bipartisan Jan. 6 commission — remaining silent when asked about their involvement in the insurrection.

Their silence just further begs the question: What are they hiding?

For the sake of our democracy, we need to send a loud and clear message that the American people will accept nothing less than full accountability. That's why we need to hear from 25,000 people before midnight tonight, and we need you to be one of them. Please tell us now:

Should Donald Trump and his allies be held accountable for inciting the insurrection?

YES
NO

Thank you so much for speaking out,

Team Gillibrand
