Before you elected me to the Senate, I proudly served New Mexico’s third district in the House of Representatives.

My friend Teresa Leger Fernandez now holds that seat, and I’ve been grateful to have her by my side in Washington helping me deliver a brighter future for New Mexico. She has my full confidence — and my endorsement for her 2022 re-election.

And now, NM-03 is critical to Democrats’ chances of holding our majority in the House.

Republicans recently put Teresa’s district on their target list for this year’s election, and after redistricting, the seat is more competitive than ever. Republicans are prepared to direct massive sums of money from their wealthy donor base into this district, all to defeat Teresa and flip this seat red. But we’ve seen over and over that people power can overcome whatever the GOP throws at us.
