We're excited for another busy week for us ASU Dems. We're happy to be celebrating wins this past election day from across the nation.This week we'll be having a meeting featuring LD 26 Chair Caroline Burget and CD 6 Candidate Anita Malik. Also, special thanks to everyone that attended our Public Speaking Training! Below is more information about what is going on this weekn and the upcoming weeks. We can't wait to see you there! 
This Friday at 3pm we will have our weekly meeting featuring guest speaker and former ASU Young Dem, Caroline Burget. Caroline is the former Deputy Campaign Manager for Tempe Vice-Mayor Lauren Kuby and the current LD 26 Vice-Chair. She is a graduate of ASU and  is a prominent face in Tempe politics.
Our candidate for Candidate Corner this week is Anita Malik who is running for Congress in Congressional District 6.  Malik was a former COO of a tech company that stepped down to run for office. She will be at the meeting this Friday to answer questions.
At this week's Policy Committee Meeting after our General 
Meeting, we’ll be discussing the history of the U.S. Supreme Court as an institution and as a symbol of fair and balanced justice, the challenges faced by the Court today, and certain reforms that have been proposed by experts and even some presidential candidates to address these challenges.
This Saturday, our Training Director Catherine Novotny will be hosting a Canvassing Training before our Service Saturday session. Time and location will be announced at our meeting this Friday.
Our Service Saturday this week will be canvassing to get signatures for Ruben Gallego's campaign. It will take place after our training so feel free to come along after learning how to canvass! More information to come at our meeting.
This Thursday at 6:30 pm, there will be a town hall about health care with Congressman Ruben Gallego. It will be in Phoenix. RSVP at the link below and contact us for carpooling details.
