As you may already know, national Republicans are coming to Louisiana tonight to rally in support of my opponent, Eddie Rispone. With only 10 days left in the campaign, polls show this race is extremely tight, so we have to treat this rally as a serious threat.

The DC establishment had already zeroed in on Louisiana as their best pickup opportunity, and after their loss in the Kentucky governor's race last night, they are doubling down on Louisiana. They're using lies, scare tactics and millions of dollars in attack ads to take me down. Friends, we need to invest in our own get-out-the-vote operation right now, or else we risk being overwhelmed.

To fight back against DC special interests, our campaign has set a goal of raising $25,000 by midnight, tonight. Please friends, donate $5 - or whatever you can - to help us hit our goal, fight back and win reelection on Nov. 16.
