Dear John,
We are excited to invite you to our very first event of 2022 - a virtual panel of experts examining the dehumanization of Iranians and the rights of Iranian Americans in the United States. Join us on January 18th at 1pm PST/4 EST for this important and timely event > [[link removed]] secure.everyaction.com/KF50KSWcZ0WLW8AkdMlb-A2 [secure.everyaction.com/KF50KSWcZ0WLW8AkdMlb-A2] This will kick off NIAC’s Rights of Iranian Americans Project, a new initiative aimed at defending and empowering the Iranian-American community. Discriminatory stereotypes in popular culture, unjust bank account closures, immigration bans, crushing sanctions on loved ones, and detentions and interrogations at airports and border crossings are all unfair realities for Iranian Americans. The systematic demonization of Iran, and by extension Iranians and those of Iranian heritage, leads to the dehumanization of an entire group of people which informs foreign policy and undermines civil rights at home. We recognize that it is not enough to simply call out unjust and discriminatory policies, we need to address root causes and find solutions. Mark your calendar two weeks from today for what is sure to be a great conversation. RSVP Today >> [[link removed]] RSVP Here [[link removed]]
We hope you’ll join us for this important discussion! Thank you,
Assal Rad
