We’re all so excited about yesterday’s momentous occasion: voters in deep red-state Kentucky ousted Republican Governor Matt Bevin and elected Democrat Andy Beshear!
This is such a huge deal for a state where Trump won by 30 points. It’s a huge deal for all Americans because it shows that our progressive movement has the support of the people.
Although we’re not trying to flip IL-07 from red to blue, we ARE trying to flip it from apathy to action. The people here need a Congress that’s for us, by us, more than ever. And we have the momentum to do it.
But we can’t do it without you. Over half of Danny Davis’ donations have come from corporate PACs this cycle. We’re doing this differently. Unlike status quo politicians, our campaign’s not taking a dime from corrupt corporate PACs and corporate interests. We’re funded by the people and community right here at home who are ready for their voices to be heard. And with my primary race less than five months away, we’ve got a movement to mobilize.
