Let's recap, John:

Last November, President Joe Biden signed the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act into law. This bill is HUGE. It will create overdue repairs to our nation's roads, bridges, transit, water, and sewer systems. It will help rebuild our crumbling public schools, expand broadband internet access, transform public transportation infrastructure, and prioritize climate resilience.

And the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act will create over 1.5 million jobs.

Dwight understands that it was the investments of working people that made this once-in-a-generation infrastructure bill possible. That's why he's helping bring thousands of well-paying, union-eligible, local jobs to Philadelphia to return our tax dollars back to our communities.

Along with rebuilding our communities, the infrastructure package includes Dwight's Reconnecting Communities Initiative. This invests $1 billion to reconnect communities of color that were damaged and displaced by racist highway systems.

Dwight's plan will reconnect Philadelphia neighborhoods like Nicetown and Chinatown that were fractured by the Roosevelt Boulevard and Vine Street expressways. It's crucial the folks that are reconnecting these neighborhoods are from these neighborhoods.
