Friend, today marks the 35th anniversary of Mitch McConnell being elected to the United States Senate from Kentucky. In honor of his anniversary, let’s send a message:

We just defeated the most unpopular governor in the country. And next year, we’re going to defeat the most unpopular senator—Mitch himself.

On this day 35 years ago, Mitch started packing his bags to move to Washington and leave us behind.

He went on to build up his network of special interests and corporate support, turned his back on our families and teachers and seniors, and built a political career that has always, always put party and personal advantage over the people he represents.

Mitch McConnell not only represents everything that’s wrong with Washington—he’s been one of the key reasons it’s become the ineffective, dysfunctional swamp it is today.

He made it that way. And it won’t get better until he’s out of office.

That’s why I’m running to make this Mitch’s last term in Washington. But I can’t do this alone—it’ll take all of us stepping up to defeat him, the way Kentuckians stepped up last night to elect a governor, Andy Beshear, who’ll put us first.

Don’t let anyone tell you a Democrat can’t win Kentucky—because we just got it done. If you’re with me, chip in to help continue the fight:
