John -- I reached out a couple of weeks ago to tell you about the legislation I introduced to protect every American’s right to vote. I want to remind you why this is such a critical fight.

The Freedom to Vote Act would set basic voting standards to ensure every American can cast their ballot in the way that works best for them. If you agree that it’s crucial to pass these protections for voters, will you chip in today to help us get it done?

Our democracy is in a moment of crisis. In addition to the troubling wave of voter suppression happening in state legislatures, we’ve also seen a rise in violent threats against election workers and their families for simply doing their jobs.

Passing the Freedom to Vote Act would preserve free and fair elections in our country by upholding voting rights and protecting the Americans who oversee our elections. I’m not going to rest until we get this done. If you’re with me, I hope you’ll pitch in now.
