Important news!

The U.S. Senate is poised to consider changes to the filibuster rules on
or before January 17.

This is huge – we are closer than ever before to finally abolishing the
filibuster.

Ro has been a vocal opponent of the filibuster.. It’s a tool used by
Republicans to attack and dismantle our fundamental civil rights. That’s
why we are not exaggerating when we say it’s either the filibuster or our
democracy. Protection of our democracy must be the highest priority in
Washington — we can’t let a legislative loophole stand in the way.

the filibuster in Congress?

As we approach the one-year anniversary of the January 6 insurrection, it
is more important than ever to make sure we do everything in our power to
not only protect the right to vote but expand access to the polls so
everyone has a fair chance to can participate in our democracy.

But here’s the bottom line: We won’t be able to pass any civil rights
bills, including ones that expand and protect the right to vote, as long
as the filibuster still exists. We can’t let something as anti-democratic
as the filibuster stand in the way.

Ro is ready to hold his colleagues accountable on both sides of the aisle.

the filibuster once and for all.

Together,

Team Ro
