John --

Last night in Kentucky and across Virginia, we saw a road map to the change we can bring to Iowa’s 4th district next November and that road leads right through rural America.

Democrat Andy Beshear beat Republican Governor Matt Bevin in a state Donald Trump won by more than 30 points in 2016. Virginia Democrats now control the House, Senate and the Governorship for the first time in more than two decades.

Andy won by offering a clear vision for the kind of common-sense change his constituents need while his opponent ran an increasingly divisive campaign.

While Matt Bevin spent his time in the Governor’s mansion cutting essential programs and vilifying public school teachers, Andy offered the chance of a brighter future to the people of Kentucky.

In Virginia, countless volunteers and activists proved that hard work and organizing pay off— even in ruby red areas.

Last night's elections are a clear sign: If we keep up our momentum through the next twelve months, and maintain our focus on rural voters and rural issues, we can defeat Steve King.

To do this, I need you with us. Chip in any amount you can and help our campaign fight for the change we need. [[link removed]]

Thank you, as always, for helping me stand tall for all.
