Click here The deadline is quickly approaching for advocates and stakeholders to submit comment letters to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) in response to proposed rule, Section 1071. If implemented, the rule would allow the Bureau to collect and report data on small business lending, including data on loan recipients' race and ethnicity. Prosperity Now drafted a comment letter to the CFPB in support of Section 1071, and we invite your organization to sign on. The deadline is this Thursday, January 6 at 12pm ET. We also encourage you to use our online advocacy center to submit your own comment letter. We’ve provided pre-drafted text to make it quick and easy! Together, we can make sure small businesses, particularly those owned by people of color, have equitable access to capital. For additional questions about this rule, please contact Anju Chopra at [email protected]. |
