Texas’ 2020 election audit reveals few issues, echoes findings from review processes already in place
In late 2021, Greg Abbott and other GOP officials launched a review of the 2020 election results at the behest of Donald Trump.
Months and millions of taxpayer dollars later, the election results have been confirmed. The review showed few if any discrepancies between the electronic and hand counts of ballots.
This is all part of Donald Trump’s “Big Lie” designed to sow doubt in our election system and further suppress the votes of minorities and immigrants.
It’s clear Abbott and the Republican officials behind these election ‘audits’ are subverting democracy -- and they must be held accountable.
