[1]Cori Bush

Let's take a moment to celebrate today,
John.

One year ago today, Cori was sworn into the 117th Congress. On January 3,
2021, Cori officially became the first Black woman to represent Missouri
in the House of Representatives and the first activist from the movement
in defense of Black lives in federal office.

Every day for the past 365 days, Cori has worked to save lives and
transform St. Louis. Cori accomplished more in her first year in Congress
than some members do in multiple terms, just take a look at her record:

✅ Cori introduced the Green New Deal for Cities with Rep. Alexandria
Ocasio-Cortez to fund an expansive array of climate jobs and projects.
✅ Cori co-sponsored important progressive legislation including Medicare
for All, the Green New Deal, and the For the People Act.
✅ Cori stayed on the steps of the Capitol for five days straight calling
on the Biden Administration to extend the eviction moratorium for the
duration of the COVID-19 pandemic.
✅ Cori continued her work to keep people housed with the introduction of
the Keeping Renters Safe Act with Senator Elizabeth Warren.
✅ Cori transformed the future of public safety with the People's Response
Act.
✅ AND our movement was recognized as one of the top small-dollar
fundraising teams in Congress last year.

[ [link removed] ]John, if
you're with Cori in this movement, will you chip in $5 or
more today to keep Cori in Congress legislating and organizing for
progressive change?

[ [link removed] ]Chip in $5

It is exactly because of this grassroots team and Cori's background as an
activist, mother, and someone who knows what it feels like to not be
represented by our leaders, that we've made such big waves in Congress.

And this is just the start. Cori's officially running for re-election to
continue representing Missouri's First District so she can keep making
real progress on racial justice, addressing the climate crisis, and
ensuring everyone is guaranteed quality health care.

To be candid, we'll need your help to keep Cori in Congress. The far-right
has already named us a top target of their attacks, and Cori only won her
last race by 3 points. So we're not taking anything for granted.

Cori needs grassroots supporters like you to have her back so she can keep
her focus on working to save lives. [ [link removed] ]Please, will you make a
$5 donation right now to help re-elect Cori so she can
continue boldly leading legislation like the Green New Deal for Cities,
the People's Response Act, and the Keeping Renters Safe Act?

Together,

Team Cori
