I don’t know about you, but I’m still reveling in the big news from last night—voters in Kentucky ousted Republican Governor Matt Bevin and elected Democrat Andy Beshear!
Kentucky’s a traditionally red state. In 2016, Trump won there by a staggering 30 points. Last night’s Democratic victory there proves our progressive movement has so much momentum, and last night’s election showed the people support what we’re trying to do.
I know we can flip the Senate next year. That starts right here at home, in Iowa, by unseating Trump lackey Joni Ernst. She represents the worst parts of our current system: she’s owned by the corporate PACs and corporate lobbyists who give her millions to represent their interests while the best interests of her constituents go ignored.
