This is no longer about the reality of child care and climate change, it's about the whims of conservative Democrats.

Justice Democrats

John, reports are saying, again, that Joe Manchin is willing to negotiate on Build Back Better. But do you see what we see?

Tweet from Axios reads SCOOP: Sen. Joe Manchin is open to reengaging on the climate and child care provisions in Biden's Build Back Better agenda, people familiar with the matter tell Axios.

It’s ridiculous that the biggest piece of legislation in Congress since Democrats took majorities in the House and Senate, and won the White House, is STILL being stalled by conservative Democrats. And it’s ridiculous that Manchin is merely "open" to "reengage" on critical cornerstone issues like child care and climate.

We need a Democratic Party that will do whatever it takes to fight climate change and expand the social safety net. That’s our fight, and we need your help. Can you chip in $3 so we can defeat conservatives and corporate interests in order to deliver for the people?

Contribute $3

When it comes down to it, the corporate-backed Democratic Party is dragging their feet on passing popular progressive policies. Democrats passed a bipartisan infrastructure bill with Republicans even though they knew it would jeopardize universal pre-K, lowering drug costs, child care subsidies, and the fight against climate change.

Now, Democrats see how their votes to appease corporations are impacting even modest reforms: The Child Tax Credit and expanded ACA subsidies are about to expire, climate change continues to threaten our lives, and a range of other issues continue to impact peoples’ day-to-day lives.

It’s on the Justice Democrats in Congress — and the grassroots movement behind them — to continue fighting to upend the status quo in Washington and deliver for the people. Can you chip in $3 to help fuel our fight?

In solidarity,

Justice Democrats
