This is it, John.
This week, the U.S. Senate will officially reconvene and decide whether to put the Biden-Harris administration’s Build Back Better package up for a vote.
We need to make sure that this package includes a full slate of solutions that addresses the crises our country faces. The Build Back Better Act is intended to provide significant funding for our communities to invest in child care, rent relief, climate action, universal pre-K, health care, and so much more.
Here’s the problem: Republicans and Conservative Democrats like Joe Manchin are fighting to strip critical portions of Build Back Better like child tax credits and threaten the future of this entire package.
It’s going to take a massive show of grassroots support to pass the Build Back Better Act and make sure we provide urgently needed relief for women and families. Please add your name now to tell the Senate that it’s critical they pass the Build Back Better Act this week.
Since day one of this pandemic, women have been demanding meaningful investments and solutions from our government that match the scale of crisis we’re currently facing. Many of us know that the majority of the challenges we’re facing aren’t new — the pandemic has only heightened the struggles working folks in America face.
We’ve fought too hard, for too long, for the Senate to fall short on delivering urgently needed relief for our country.
That’s why it’s critical we make sure we have enough votes for a transformative package that includes major investments in health care, education, and housing. These kinds of actions will have the MOST impact on those who have been left most vulnerable in this pandemic.
That’s why passing Build Back Better is our top priority, John. Will you show your support for passing Build Back Better and tell the Senate it’s critical we don’t make any reductions to this package?
Together,
Women’s March
