Happy New Year.
I want to start off this year by saying thank you: Because of this
movement’s generosity, love, and commitment we were able to hit our
end-of-year fundraising goal.
My heart is filled with hope knowing that thousands of you chipped in to
help us prepare for 2022. This was no small feat and I am blown away by
the power of this movement.
Especially in these challenging times, we understand that not everyone is
in the position to give. We also know it’s tempting to feel hopeless about
our future. 2021 has been a hard year for so many of us. We witnessed an
insurrection, the pandemic continued to cripple us, storms tore through
our communities, and too many of our families struggled to make ends meet.
But last week, this movement chose hope. A record number of supporters
chipped in to help power our grassroots campaign and fund our fight to
create a new kind of politics that works for all of us. It was an
inspiring ending to the first year of our campaign, and I feel more
energized than ever to fight for the change Kentuckians deserve.
The road ahead is not easy, but I know with everything in me that we can
win this fight. In 2022, Kentucky’s going to elect a Black man from the
hood to the United States Senate.
Whether you chipped in $5 bucks, made a couple phone calls,
or just signed up to be on our email list — please know your support means
the world to me. Together, we’re showing our opponents and the
establishment how strong grassroots donors can be, and how wrong they are
to doubt us.
We are the people who will beat Rand Paul. [ [link removed] ]If you’re ready to fight
with me this year to turn the tides of Kentucky and the U.S. Senate, will
you chip in $5 to our people-powered campaign?
Together,
Charles
