Hey, John -- as we begin the new year, I wanted to take a moment and look back. (And this note will probably be a little longer than most, but it's been a big year!)

First -- thank you for being with us on this journey.

While our campaign has gained local and national headlines (setting records for fundraising, telling our story, sharing my leadership lessons as a former teacher, gaining national recognition for our list of supporters), it's support and friendship like yours that's meant the most to us.

A few days ago, on New Years eve, we celebrated our son Luca's first birthday. As he and Ava have grown this year, every day Lauren and I are reminded of the responsibility to create a stronger Nebraska for them. The year ahead will be one with even more work, and I'm honored that you'll be there with us.
