There’s no shortage of things to worry about as we begin a new year, but we’re choosing to focus on the positive. The simple truth is that abortion access expanded around the world in 2021—and we’re poised to see more progress in the year ahead!

Last year we saw countries like Argentina, Mexico, India, and Benin change their laws and policies to expand abortion rights. We were particularly inspired by the successes of the “Green Wave” feminist movement that catalyzed historic change across Latin America and beyond.
