Yesterday, voters in Kentucky sent a clear message to the GOP establishment and ousted their Republican governor, electing Democrat Andy Beshear to lead their state.
These election results are incredible -- not only for the people of Kentucky, but for all of us -- because this is the clearest sign yet that we have a path to defeat Mitch McConnell in 2020.
Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s failed leadership and partisan obstruction is well documented, John. He is letting critically important measures, from securing our elections from foreign interference to enacting universal background checks, perish in his legislative graveyard. People in Kentucky -- and all over the country -- deserve better.
Amy McGrath is in this race because she has never been afraid to take on the tough fights. And now she’s fighting to take down Mitch McConnell in Kentucky and flip the Senate in 2020.
