Dear , happy new year!

Many of us are likely to start this new year by making resolutions. As
we continue to get closer to being the best versions of ourselves, we
hope you don't forget all the great things you have already
accomplished.

* 34,175 of you took action in 2021 on at least one campaign to
protect our parks,
* together we sent almost a quarter of a million emails (228,144
to be exact) to our elected officials and government bodies,
* we spoke up on Twitter 6,082 times in support of important
agenda items like #ParksInPeril and #FutureoftheParks, and
* we shared the importance of protecting our parks 2,290 times on
Facebook.

We couldn't have moved the needle the way we did last year without
you.

Because of your participation, we were able to push back hard against
climate change and protect our parks. That includes:
* restored protections for Bears Ears, Grand Staircase-Escalante,
and Northeast Canyons and Seamounts National Monuments,
* an invalidated key permit for the controversial Cadiz pipeline
beneath Mojave Trails National Monument, and Mojave National
Preserve, and
* a stopped compressor station from being built along the
Appalachian National Scenic Trail.

, we don't take your advocacy for granted. Thank you.

In this new year we have many continuing battles, and some new ones to save our parks.

Stay tuned for more on our first campaign this year--a petition to honor the legacy of Emmett Till through a new national park site.

There are so many stories left to be elevated and told. There is so much opportunity for us to do that together in 2022. By supporting this campaign, and the ones to follow this year, we help make sure our parks represent all of us.

Thank you for all you did and continue to do for our parks. I look forward to standing alongside you this year as we speak up for ourselves and the generations to come.
