Happy New Year! As 2022 kicks off, Heritage is taking our fight against the Biden administration’s unlawful vaccine mandate to the U.S. Supreme Court. President Kevin Roberts continues his media blitz to talk about Heritage’s future and the future of conservatism. We also list six wishes we have for 2022. There’s more to explore in the first edition of The Agenda in the New Year.

Heritage Takes Vaccine Fight to Supreme Court

What’s news: Heritage petitioned the U.S. Supreme Court to halt the Biden administration’s draconian COVID-19 vaccine mandate until the justices resolve its legal merits.

Why we’re doing this: “If we don’t stand up for our employees and their private data, and all Americans, then we believe this administration is going to get away with a lot more,” Heritage President Kevin Roberts said.

What’s next: The U.S. Supreme Court will hear arguments this Friday in cases challenging two of Biden’s COVID-19 vaccine mandates. Read the Supreme Court petition and the Daily Signal news story.

Go deeper: In a legal memorandum, Heritage’s Paul Larkin and Doug Badger write that, “The Occupational Health and Safety Administration lacks any authority to issue a general vaccine mandate on Americans.”

On the news: Heritage President Kevin Roberts made several more media appearances to talk about Heritage and the future of conservatism. Roberts appeared on the popular “Newt’s World” podcast as well as on Vince Coglianese’s WMAL show and spoke with Washington Post columnist Henry Olsen.

Revitalized: Responding to Roberts’ message of always being on offense, former House speaker Newt Gingrich said, “I think we need precisely the kind of revitalized Heritage you’re talking about.”

Making a list: Everyone has hopes and dreams for 2022. Heritage spokesperson Genevieve Wood compiled the six things conservatives would most like to see happen in 2022.

Checking it twice: The list includes things like an end to COVID authoritarianism, universal education choice, and liberation from Roe v. Wade.
