Delivering help and hope in 2022
Alzheimer's Association
Happy New Year.
Dear John,
On behalf of all of us at the Alzheimer's Association, I want to wish you a wonderful 2022. Thanks to committed individuals like you, we are off to a great start, and I'm hopeful the year ahead will be one of great accomplishments and progress in our work to provide care and support and advance critical Alzheimer's research.

I'm grateful you've joined our community and our fight against this disease that steals so many loved ones. Your support is so very appreciated.

With your continued support, I know we can make extraordinary progress in our fight against this devastating disease in 2022 and beyond. We must — because the need is greater than ever.

The number of people living with Alzheimer's — an estimated 50 million worldwide — is expected to triple to 152 million by 2050. Without effective treatments and support, this will create an overwhelming strain for health care systems and on families.

There's more work to be done, and until there's a cure, we'll continue pursuing our mission to lead the way to end Alzheimer's and all other dementia — by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support.

Thank you so much for your dedication to our vision of a world without Alzheimer's and all other dementia. You've helped us provide access to care and support services to the more than 6 million Americans living with Alzheimer's, as well as their caregivers, while also accelerating critical research toward methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure. We're in this together. Let's make 2022 an amazing year.

With gratitude,

Donna McCullough
