John - heartfelt good wishes for the new year.
Thank you so much for all you’ve done to support Greenpeace over the last 12 months. You’ve been at the heart of everything we’ve achieved. Now, as we move into 2022, let’s make it a year filled with hope and action.
I’m starting this year by sharing this inspiring message from members of our Greenpeace community – and I’d love it if you’d do the same.
John - will you watch the video now, and then share its message of action and optimism with friends and family? Just click to play, it takes 1 minute:

This year, real change will come from every one of us keeping up the pressure on companies and governments to take action on the climate and nature crises.
Your support enables us to use the most powerful tools we have, from pioneering research and investigations, to headline-grabbing peaceful actions and huge public campaigns.
We’ve got big plans together for the months ahead, so I want to share with you Greenpeace’s three big goals for 2022:
- Accelerate a just transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy.
- Stop our forests being destroyed and restore them to health.
- Make sure at least 30% of our oceans are protected by 2030.
Together, we can meet this moment and make 2022 a year of incredible progress. And it starts with watching and sharing this message of hope:

We all want to see a world where plants, humans and other animal species live together in harmony. Now’s the time to make it happen, together.
Nothing changes without you, John. Thanks so much for being with us.

Executive Director, Greenpeace UK
