As I travel across Minnesota, people in living rooms, auditoriums, and community centers all over the state ask why vital prescription medications have to cost someone their life savings.
The answer is: They don't.
But nearly one in four Americans say they struggle every day to cover costs for the medicine they need. That's why one of my most important fights in Washington is to lower prescription drug prices. We must value people first, not Big Pharma's profits.
