"So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them."

- Genesis 1:27

Happy New Year from your friends at IJM around the world! As we step forward into 2022, we are grateful for your continued prayers and praises, and we look forward to all that is ahead. Thank you!
Africa & Europe
The IJM Ghana team has been training the marine police to conduct a boat patrol on Lake Volta, looking for cases of trafficking and planning rescues to bring victims to safety. Practical training in boats on the lake took place between November and December, and the newly trained boat patrol will launch their pilot project this month. Pray for this initiative to be successful in identifying the trafficked children who have been hardest to find on the lake, and that the government would continue to fund and scale the project to provide protection across the vast lake.
Latin America
Join the Latin America Region in a prayer to seal the new year in the hope and promises of the Lord. The past two years have been overwhelming, but we continue to be amazed by beautiful revelations of God’s love for justice and for His children through the work of IJM in Latin America. Pray for the team to hold onto the Lord’s promises in the new year and that the Lord would bless the new initiatives, measurement studies and expansions that the region plans to achieve this year.
South Asia
Please pray for ongoing safety for IJM teams as they travel to investigate cases of abuse and study the prevalence of trafficking in our project areas. These trips often involve traveling to remote rural areas or dense and dangerous red-light districts. We feel confident in our security measures, but always need God to guide our teams’ steps and ensure IJM and our partners remain safe. Pray for great stamina and energy as the teams head out to do their work in a new year!
Southeast Asia
Please pray for IJM Philippines’ Scale of Harm project to be completed and approved by the end of January! Pray that the methodology we are developing will be able to determine the prevalence of the online sexual exploitation of children (OSEC) in the region. This work is extremely critical because it allows us to determine the extent of the crime and thus the amount of resources needed to address it.
IJM Global Office & Partners
IJM global office is located in the United States. IJM has Partner Offices in Australia, Canada, Germany, Hong Kong, South Korea, Switzerland, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.

Please join us in praising the Lord for times of rest for our colleagues during the holiday season. Please pray that with renewed strength we will continue to fight to bring an end to modern day slavery, and for God’s provision over the work of IJM and the individuals that carry forward the mission.

The updates we share on survivors or their cases can become sensitive over time. To respect and protect
them, please refrain from posting these prayer requests online.
