Dear John,

On Wednesday, Judy reached out to share a bit about why this fundraising goal is so important (we’ve included it below in case you missed it!). She and her Democratic colleagues have fought hard for working families – and it paid off. Americans are better off than they were last year. But we can’t stop now.

We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again: The future of our communities is on the ballot in 2022. From the worsening climate crisis to attacks on our reproductive freedom to our fragile democracy, every American will feel the effects of these elections.

From passing the Build Back Better Act to protecting our democracy to standing up for immigrants, Democrats have big plans for 2022 – and beyond!

But they can’t do it with you. Are you in?

Together,
Team Judy

Subject: It's almost 2022...and I'm running for reelection
Dear John,

We did a lot in 2021. From the American Rescue Plan, which helped cut employment by record levels, to the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, which invests in clean drinking water, public transportation, internet equity, and more, we passed some landmark measures.

And working families are better off for it.

But we couldn’t have done it without our Democratic majority in the House and the Senate, and control of the White House, which is why I'm proud to announce that I'm running for reelection to Congress in 2022 in the new 28th District.

Republican challengers are already campaigning to take back Congress, and we can't afford to lose a single seat. If they win in 2022, they’ll undo all the progress we’ve made. Our reproductive freedom, our climate resiliency, our immigration system, and our very democracy are on the line.

That's why I set a goal to raise $6,000 before the end of 2021 -- we need to be ready to hit the ground running in the new year, so I can introduce myself to a new district and build the kind of Democratic power it will take to hold our majority.

Thank you,
Judy
