John,
In a few moments, we’re going to ask if you can chip in ahead of our end-of-year deadline at midnight. But before we do, we want to reflect on the gravity of this moment.
This year started with WFP members in Georgia getting out the vote for Raphael Warnock and the rest of the Democratic ticket, giving Democrats unified control of Congress. Then literally just a few hours later, a violent white supremacist mob stormed the Capitol in an attempt to nullify the votes of 81 million Americans.
This year, we fought tirelessly to get stimulus payments and immediate cash relief to working families in the winter and to pass the Build Back Better Act and secure long-term investments in working people in the fall. The continued pandemic has made the necessity of our agenda clear: The need to secure guaranteed paid sick and family leave, increase the minimum wage, expand access to affordable housing, reduce prescription drug prices, and provide health care for all has never been more important.
That’s why we won’t stop fighting. Will you be a part of the movement to deliver real relief for working people? Your contributions will help us keep up the fight for working families and elect more WFP champions in 2022.
