Hey Team,
In the final hours before we welcome the New Year and close the books on our December fundraising deadline, I just want to take a moment to say thank you for everything you've done to make our campaign a success. Because of you, we've emerged as a frontrunner in this race, and I couldn't be more grateful.
That said, I wasn't exaggerating when I said we were getting ready for the fight of our lives earlier this week. Our first public filing is our best chance so far to demonstrate the power of our campaign, and everyone from our opponents to pollsters to pundits to voters will be looking at our numbers to determine whether or not we have the resources to win.
If we want to seize this once-in-a-generation opportunity to make progress on big issues facing Maryland's families – from income inequality to education to climate change – we have to flip the governor's office from red to blue for the first time in eight years. That means we can’t afford to miss our December fundraising goal.
