Thank you, team.

Yesterday’s elections didn’t go as we had hoped, but we can’t be discouraged. Because of your donations, phone calls, texts, and door knocks, we put important issues like health care and voting rights on the agenda. And we forced the GOP to campaign and spend millions of dollars in traditionally Republican areas.

We thank Jennifer Riley Collins and Greg Stumbo for their service and for having the courage to run for Attorney General.

We also want to congratulate Democratic AG Andy Beshear on his gubernatorial win last night. He's the 23rd Democratic AG to go on to serve as Governor, and we're excited to see him continue to fight for Kentucky families.

But now we must look ahead to 2020 because the 2019 elections were just the start.

Democratic AGs have led the fight against Trump’s administration, protecting health care access, defending abortion providers like Planned Parenthood, rejecting attacks on clean air and water and so much more. And next year there are a dozen AG seats at stake, including our incumbents in battleground states like Pennsylvania and North Carolina.

Trump will motivate the right; we need you to stand with us if we’re going to elect more Democratic AGs and continue making progress.

So thank you again for everything you did, but there is no time to rest. We need to get ready for next year’s critical elections.

Sean Rankin
Executive Director, Democratic Attorneys General Association
