As 2021 comes to an end, I’m looking back on what we’ve accomplished together. Over the past twelve months, we:

- Helped people afford their lives by holding predatory landlords, loan-servicing companies, and scammers accountable, cracking down on pandemic profiteering, ensuring workers are paid what they are owed, and more

- Helped people live with dignity and respect by creating the first-ever Conviction Review Unit in the Attorney General’s Office to review the convictions of people who may be innocent, filing a brief in support of the DOJ’s challenge to Texas’ outrageous abortion ban, joined a national coalition to protect the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, and more

- Officially launched our re-election campaign because the fight for justice and a fair economy is still on. If you can, pitch in by our end-of-year deadline at 11:59 pm so we can keep it up together.

I’m proud of the progress we made, but the truth is it’s fragile. Our GOP opponents want to undo everything we’ve done so they can make the middle-class weaker and their special interest funders more powerful. And we have a long, difficult campaign ahead of us.

We had the closest statewide race in Minnesota in 2018, and facing the uphill battle of a midterm election where our party holds the White House, next year will be even tougher.

That’s why I can’t overstate how critical our public reporting deadline is tonight. After we file our report, our 2021 fundraising numbers will be made public for the first time, giving our opponents, pundits, and everyone watching this race an inside look at the strength of our campaign. 

To prove that we’re ready to win next year, we set a $75,000 goal, and right now, we’re at serious risk of falling short. According to my campaign team, we still need to bring in more than $4,000 by midnight to hit our target.
