Folks —

With just hours left until we ring in the new year, I’m thinking about all we’ve accomplished this year. It’s been a tremendous honor to help folks across Nevada afford their lives and live with dignity and respect over these past 12 months.

As we begin a new year, I stand at the ready to keep up the fight, so that everyone knows a people’s lawyer has their back. Together, this year…

We’ve fought to safeguard health care and reproductive rights against relentless GOP attacks. As long as I’m in office, I will continue to fight these restrictive laws to defend every person’s right to choose and safely access abortion services.

We held accountable the drug companies that have fueled our nation’s opioid crisis. Nevada continues to be one of the hardest-hit states by the opioid crisis, and I will continue to work toward a resolution with any defendant that adequately addresses the devastation felt by every Nevadan experiencing the tragedy of the opioid crisis.

We continued to defend our democratic institutions. This year, we investigated and prosecuted an egregious case of voter fraud in the 2020 election.

We pursued multinational corporations over consumer fraud, and my team brought back millions of dollars to Nevadans who were defrauded or scammed.

We championed the defense of marginalized groups across Nevada. We stepped up to protect the rights of students, teachers, organized labor, workers, the LGBTQ community, women, immigrants and people with disabilities. And so much more.

Every day, I go to work with the goal to make our state safer and stronger. I am incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished together, and I’m excited to carry our momentum back to the AG’s office over this next year.
